About

Welcome to Mangawhai Golf Club

From the beginning in 1979 when Mangawhai Golf Club was first established, the club has built a proud reputation throughout New Zealand’s golfing community and also beyond our shores, for the friendliness and warm welcome extended to guests, regardless of whether the purpose of their visit is for a round of golf or for a social occasion in the clubhouse.

Over the years since its inception Mangawhai Golf Club has regularly hosted golf groups from throughout the country, as well as groups from offshore, so our staff and members are well versed in looking after the wants and wishes of the travelling golfer.

The Club is well recognised for the character, layout and design of its magnificent coastal golf course. Over the years some famous names from around the world of golf have graced our fairways and greens, more recently we hosted New Zealand’s own Sir Bob Charles. Sir Bob attended Mangawhai Golf Club’s 40th anniversary celebration dinner in 2019 after enjoying a round of golf as the Club’s guest of honour.

Inside Mangawhai Golf Club’s clubhouse a welcoming atmosphere awaits golfers and visitors, where the Member’s Lounge provides a breathtaking panoramic view overlooking our fine coastal golf course.

During an incredible career Harry Dale was the designer of more than sixty courses throughout the North Island, the Mangawhai course was the last course that Harry Dale designed.
